We are pleased to inform you that the login nodes are now open and partitions are up.
System administrators are still fixing a certain number of remaining issues:
  • you may find some issues with the file system (lustrep3 more particularly) with intermittent slowness;
  • LUMI interface is not open yet. We will inform you as soon as it is available;
  • largemem partition is not yet up.
Please don’t hesitate to contact the LUMI User Support Team if you face any other issue.
Thank you for your patience.

[Update – 30.9.24 17:20 CEST]

Corrective actions to bring up LUMI back to production after the Saturday 28.9 blackout have progressed well.

All filesystem are checked, verified and healthy and currently the process of ramping up the computing capacity has started.
However, after bringing all services back online, the system still needs some validation in order to check that everything works normally. Our target is to open the system by tomorrow afternoon 1st of October.
We will keep you posted about the progress.

There was a blackout on September 28 18:15 that affected LUMI data center and LUMI. The data center infrastructure including power and cooling was back in operation at 21:30 and corrective actions to bring up LUMI back to production started immediately afterwards. However, due to the size of the installation, bringing all services back online and validating that everything works normally is a very complex and time-consuming operation. During that time, there will be no user access on LUMI. We will keep you posted about the progress.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
