Privacy notice for processing of personal data related to LUMI User Support

General 

This privacy notice includes information for the data subject (natural person) in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679). This notice is provided to the data subject during the collection of personal data.

Purposes of, categories of and legal basis for the processing of personal data 

The purpose of the LUMI User Support is to help you to use LUMI Services. When you contact us for customer service, technical support or for any other purposes we will use your personal data to respond to your service request or enquiry.  To do that your personal data, such as your name, your contact information, your affiliation and your request related information is needed and collected from you. You may also provide information about the setup and ongoing use of the LUMI Services or any information related to the LUMI Services. LUMI User Support may also receive your personal data through other persons, for example if they are contacting on behalf of you or your affiliation. 

Your personal data will be processed to provide the LUMI user support requested. Processing is based on contract with you or to take steps at the request of you prior to entering into a contract for the LUMI Services. You will be asked to give your consent to process your personal in order to answer your enquiry, if there is no contractual agreement with you. The collected data may also be processed for training, quality control, security, maintenance and development of service and systems, and statistics; then processing is based on our legitimate interests. 

Information Disclosure 

Your personal information may be shared with third-party services upon request, our sub-processors, partners or your affiliation to the extent necessary to provide the LUMI User Support. Each LUMI consortium party has nominated at least one person to the LUMI User Support and they may process your service requests jointly. 

Transfer of Personal Data 

Your personal data is not disclosed outside the EU or the EEA. 

Data Retention 

We will only retain your personal data for as long as it is needed for the purposes set out in this document. In general, this means that we will only hold your personal data for a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 5 years. 

Data subject rights 

As a data subject you have the following rights: 

• Right to obtain information on the processing of personal data 
• Right of access  
• Right to withdraw you consent 
• Right to to have any incorrect or incomplete data rectified 
• Right to have your data erased (right to be forgotten) in certain situations 
• Right to object, when processing is based on legitimate interests 
• Right to data portability 
• Right to lodge a complaint: You can lodge a complaint to your local data protection supervisory authority or with any other data protection authority in the EU.

Changes to this privacy notice 

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to modify our privacy practices and update and make changes to this privacy notice at any time. Whenever we make substantial changes to this notice, and in particular when this notice underlies your consent, we will inform you of the changes. This privacy notice is current as of the date which appears at the top of the document.
