Get ready for EFP: join the upcoming training sessions

The EuroHPC Federation Platform (EFP) is at the heart of Europe’s ambition to build a world-class, federated, and secure high-performance computing ecosystem. By connecting systems such as the LUMI supercomputer, it makes advanced HPC and quantum resources more accessible to researchers and industry across the EU. You can read more about the EFP and the preparations for its launch in our earlier blog post.

In the future, using LUMI will be much simpler and more intuitive thanks to EFP. LUMI users with an EuroHPC JU allocation will be able to log in with their own federated identity via secure single sign-on. Once inside, the new MyEFP interface brings all LUMI-related allocations and resources into a single, unified dashboard, allowing users to view and manage their LUMI projects at a glance. The platform’s features will bring clear advantages not only for researchers but especially for SMEs and industry users, by lowering the technical barriers to accessing LUMI’s world-class computing power and providing a more user-friendly, consistent environment that accelerates innovation and experimentation.

There are also training opportunities for anyone interested in better understanding EFP. Upcoming sessions include an overview of the EFP Federated Software Catalogue and of EFP Interactive.
