[Resolved] LUMI temporarily unavailable due to security fixes

Thursday 9 July 10:48 CEST (11:48 EEST)

Update:

EFP login node and LUMI web interface are open for users.

Thursday 9 July 9:19 CEST (10:19 EEST)

Update:

The ongoing security vulnerability mitigation work has been completed and we have now opened up the normal LUMI login nodes for users again. Compute nodes are being rebooted and brought back online gradually, we expect availability to improve as the day progresses.
EFP login node will be opened later within the day.
Some user jobs that were still running have been terminated and if they were set to be requeued on failures they will be automatically requeued.

Tuesday 7 July 19:10 CEST (20:10 EEST)

Update:

The work to bring LUMI back into use continues. While some progress has been made, LUMI cannot be opened today. There is still no estimate when we will be able to open the system back to users.
We will keep you informed of any new developments regarding these issues.

Tuesday 7 July 10:35 CEST (11:35 EEST)

Update:

We can not unfortunately give an estimate at the moment, when this issue will be fixed. Fixing this issue is a top priority for our admins, and we will keep you updated about the status.

While we have disabled the user logins to the system, any jobs running or in the queue will continue to run as normal.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
